CT law dictates that wine and food cannot ship in the same box, or even from the same warehouse.
To be able to legally service CT, we will be shipping the gift baskets in 2 portions. The wine portion
of the basket will be shipping from our CT warehouse and the food/basket portion will be shipping from
a different warehouse. Both portions will be shipped by the same carrier, so most of the time, both
portions will be delivered together.
One issue that does come up on occasion is that since the wine shipment
requires a signature and the food doesn't, the food portion is sometimes left and the wine delivery is reattempted
the next day. To alleviate confusion for the receivers, we include a letter in both packages, informing the recipient
that their gift will be arriving in 2 separate shipments.
Because we will be incurring 2 shipping charges, as well as additional tax, there will be an additional $4 service
charge for all CT wine basket orders to cover part of the additional costs.
